upper north street, brighton

The project involved the renovation and extension of a regency town house in Brighton. Externally, the beauty of the existing facades was restored, in keeping with the only other matching house of similar style in the street.

A frameless glass extension was installed at the rear of the house. This added a whole new dimension by seamlessly linking the internal and external environments and maximising the potential of the living spaces.

Internally the plans evolved to enhance the flow of space and day lighting throughout the house. The renovation works involved the replacement / restoration of period features and the integration of modern services and fittings.

The project was shortlisted for the RIBA Downland Prize.
